Entries are now open on Racesignup for this Summer's MapRun league. There will be one MapRun a month from April to August, with the first around Nursling, Southampton, planned by Norman Wilson.

As in previous years, this will be a 45-minute score format using 'virtual' controls. You can complete the course any time during the month, but the Thursday social on 24th April will be on the area if you want to run beforehand. The league will be based on your best three out of five possible results. See the SOC website for more details.

The Orienteering Foundation is a charity that promotes and supports orienteering in the UK and to ensure that our sport is here for the enjoyment of generations to come. Orienteering is dependent on volunteers and the Foundation would like to encourage all orienteers to complete the short survey whether they currently volunteer or not.

The insights from the survey will enable the Foundation to establish strategies and actions that will enable British Orienteering and its clubs to support volunteers better, making their roles easier to perform and more enjoyable, and identifying how to improve volunteer retention and make volunteer recruitment easier.
