Street Orienteering
Planner/Organiser: Richard Jeans
Lyndhurst Street-O features some interesting street and forest path running, you'll encounter animals roaming the roads and find footpaths/routes that you never knew existed.
For those who haven't ventured out before, the event format is a fun one hour score event using a specially prepared map with no street names. Usually all controls (typically lamposts or telegraph poles) can be reached by sticking to the roads/footpaths. Entry is free and you just need to bring a torch (to read the map), a map bag (if the weather is inclement), a pen (if you wish to copy down the control codes to prove you've been there) and money (if you want to go to the pub afterwards!). You're welcome to run round as a pair/group if you prefer.
