At the weekend, two of our club members competed in the worlds largest orienteering relay race, Jukola in Finland. Tamsin Moran ran a great first leg for ShUOC in the Venla relay finishing 6:13 down on the leaders in 181st place out of 1360 teams http://results.jukola.com/tulok…/…/j2016_ve/kilpailijat/391/
The 7 man Jukola started at 11pm as the sun set, with the first 3 legs running through the night. Tamsin, running under the 'Andy Cox' alias, awoke at 3:30am to run a strong leg 4 for ShUOC B. Robert Finch was set off in the 1000 person 'mini' mass start at 9am for the longest and final leg.
