Why not make your New Year's resolution to attend SOC's first event of 2022?! It takes place at Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre on Saturday 8th January. Duncan has planned some great courses from Yellow up to Green that make the most of the area for beginners and experienced orienteers alike. Entries are now open on RaceSignup along with full details. Map numbers will go to the printers on 3rd January so make sure you register by then to guarantee your entry. As always, if you subsequently have to withdraw due to Covid then you'll get a refund.

SOC are putting on a Regional level event at Acres Down on 6th February and are lacking an Organising team. Experience of organising, at least at Local level, is required and, for newcomers at this level it is hoped that experience gained from this event will provide the necessary expertise to officiate at further Regional events in future. Help and advice will be available if required.

BKO have just advised that the 2022 SCOA Orienteering Championships will not be held at the Concorde Chase event at Hawley & Hornley on 30th January 2022 as previously advised. Once a date and venue have been confirmed, this will be published.
