As a follow on to last months presentation on putting on a Local event, there will be a presentation on planning White, Yellow and Orange courses.

An explanation of the Rules and guidelines, tips on planning and a chance for Club members to try their hand at planning their own courses. As usual there will be time for general discussion, opportunity to mull over recent events (bring along your event maps), arrange travel to events or just socialize.

I wish to share with the club thanks to 6 children from Bassett Green Primary School who ran for SOC on last Sunday. Without them we would have not prevailed over TVOC by 5 points.

The children ran in pairs in their first competitive orienteering, and Tianey Leighton and Reem Moktar, scored for SOC on the yellow course - well done girls.

Thanks to Lynne for being a taxi service to the event with the girls (I took the boys), and for getting the girls to the start line. Whereapon Lynne was asked to help run the Start for an hour as BADO was lacking in volunteers!

Thanks also to Jane. as Club Captain she ensured all the juniors ran the course that would get the best scoring, with the small team we had on the day.

Finally an big thank you and well done to all the juniors who competed in the very adverse weather conditions
