The South Central Junior Squad meet monthly for a training day, and this is a re-run of January training exercises for SOC.

There are five training courses between 1.5km-3km to practice compass work, contour interpretation, and concentration. Courses are suitable for all (orange standard and above).

Coaches will be available all day. In a sport so focused on attending races it is suprising what a small amount of technical training can offer to orienteers of all experience levels.

In the afternoon there is a 'vampire' event, a variation on a score and a favourite with the SCJS.

Compass Sport Cup Qualifying Race

SOC finished second to Bristol OK which means we have qualified for the FINAL!
Congratulations & thanks to everyone who ran. Everyone contributes even if not scoring but it was particulally good to see the juniors contribute so well & to see a couple of new members amongst the scorers too.
