Southampton Orienteering Club

The Southampton Summer Series provides nine local orienteering events on Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Each event provides three courses covering all ages and, although aimed at beginners, one is suitable for more experienced orienteers. Guidance, advice and coaching is available for those who need it.

A scoring system is used with the best five results to count and the series culminates in a prize giving and BBQ.

Details of the events can be found below but they all run on a Saturday morning with registration and start times between 10:00 and 12:00. Entry fees are £3 for adults and £1 for juniors/students which covers the map, hire of a electronic card for timing, computer print-out of results and any assistance needed. Tuition will be also available for 6 weeks starting Thursday 19th April at the Gregg School, Cutbush Lane, Southampton. SO18 2GF.
