Message from Tim Spellar, Queen Elizabeth Country Park
For your information we will be having a week of scrub bashing on the lower/southern slopes of Butser Hill starting on Monday the 13th November and finishing on Saturday the 18th November.
The aim is for the park staff (not just rangers), volunteers and key stakeholders to get involved in some fun practical work to help us with the essential management of the National Nature Reserve, and to do so in a location that is accessible and with refreshments provided.
Teas & coffees will be avaliable and for those who book in advance (via the QECP reception firstname.lastname@example.org or 02392 595040) a bacon sandwich and piece of cake.
The work will be supervised and with all tools provided. Participants will need to bring working clothes, waterproofs, boots and gloves.
The day will start at 10.00am and finish at 3.00pm.
The meeting point will be the old A3 car park to the east of the motorway. Free parking, look out for the signs.
We hope to see you on one of the days
Best wishes Tim.S
